The Tribe of Benjamin
"Benjamin is a ravening wolf, in the morning he devours the prey, in the evening he is still sharing out the spoil." (Genesis 49:27)

Benjamin was the youngest of Jacob's twelve sons and the twelfth in order of blessing. It remained loyal to Judah when the northern tribes seceded and survived into New Testament times. St Paul was himself of this tribe, which no longer exists today as an identifiable community.
