The Crown of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
"Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you." (Luke 1:28)
The purpose of this crown is to symbolise the unprecedented holiness of Mary among all the Queen Mothers of the House of David, and her dignity as the Mother of all mankind in the universal empire of her Divine Son. It does so in the seven half-arches (the number of perfection) and in the jewel of her Immaculate Heart - which has always been perfectly submitted to the dominion of Christ the King - positioned beneath the Cross where the Orb would otherwise be. The jewel consists of a ruby encircled horizontally by roses of silver. The head band is inlaid with twelve diamond clusters after the twelve stars in the crown of the Woman of the Apocalypse (Revelation 12).
