The Iron Sceptre of Judah
"I will proclaim the decree of Yahweh: He said to me, 'You are my son, today I have fathered you. Ask of me and I will give you the nations as your birthright, the whole world as your possession. With an iron sceptre you will break them, shatter them like so many pots.'" (Psalms 27-9).
The Iron Sceptre of Judah is an iron rod 40cm in length at the top of which is the head of a lion. It signifies justice and the divine foundation and legitimacy of the Throne of David, and also the origin of David and his sons in the Tribe of Judah and their dominion over the ancient Kingdom of Judah.
